AMUSEMENTS.

——-o HIB MAJESTY’S PICTURES. A fairly large audience last night were more than satisfied with the new series of pictures presented. The star film, “Alone in the Jungle,” by the Selig coterie of players is true to life. The picture is entirely clear in photography, whilst the plot and acting is of the best. The supporting pictures include: “Latest Gaumont Graphic,” “Travels in Annam” (scenic), “How Boots are Made” (educational), “Daughter of Romany” (Edison’s latest drama), and “The Courage of Commonplace” (a Vita dramagraph gem). The comics are headed by Keystone’s screamer, “Aunts too Many.” To-morrow evening an entire change of. programme will be screened. The star film, “The Intruder,” features Maurice Costello. To the old tenants, the young heir appears an intruder. H© takes possession of their borne and their neice, making himself and everybody else happy. It is a story of love at first sight. The programme includes “The Pathe Gazette,” No. 245, and a bunch of the world’s latest and best releases in the picture world. As usual the professional orchestra keeps the music right up to a high standard.

TOWN HALL PICTURES. There will he a complete change of pictures to-night, when the exclusive star film, “The Mystery of the Yellow Room” will be screened. This picture is a most thrilling story and full of a mysterious crime which is brought to light by a well known detective in the novelists’ world. The story is from, the book of one of our best writers. There is a host of comic, scenic, and other films, and patrons can be assured that they will be well pleased with the programme to-night. The prices are the same as other towns, and the music all that is to be desired.
