The late Tamil, the representative of the, Rugy game had a lot of adipirers, and as a giant in the front rank will long be remembered. But Tatmi has played his last game, and his associates, in view of his prolonged illness and the expenses attached thereto,* have opened a subscription list amongst the Clubs to assist in defraying the heavy cost. The matter was mentioned at the meeting of the Rugby Union last evening by the chairman of the Management Committeee, and the delegates will bring the matter before the respective clubs. Mr Mexili mentioned that the Waixnate Club had voted £lO out of general funds, and £6 (a surplus of presentation fund), and the members had some
'£4 collected individually. The statement was applauded and a collection - in the room yielded a round sum. Probably a match or two will be given to the benefit.
