FOOTBALL.
A CURIOUS RULING. The English Northern Union has ruled that a Welsh footballer who went to Sydney 18 months ago and played for a New South Wales League Club, and who has since returned to Wales, is a and must, before a permit call Le granted to him to play in England, qualify by two years’ residence. The player has gone back to. the Ilugby Union.
