MOTOR AMENITIES.
[To The Editor Stratford Post.] Sir,—l was highly amused at the attitude taken up by our most worthy Mayor. Things have surely some to a pretty pass when on calling attention to exceedingly dangerous obstacles to traffic existing in* the Borough, one has to put up with gross personal insults from the person who at present occupies the position of Mayor. It becomes the positive duty of any one becoming cognisant of danger spots which do not at any rate appear plainly visible to call attention to the same per medium of the press, and so endeavour to save life and limb, to say nothing of legs and lives of valuable animals, and also the payment of possibly-very heavy-damages, should the neck of the breadwinner he broken. I am sorry for Air Kirkwood ; the matter of Mayoral election was not in my .mind when writing. With regard to Chauffeur.—He seems at a.loss to place my identity. I am also at a loss to place his, and would ask if he is the affable gentleman who sometime ago had to make an undignified exit from his car while the wheels of the same were looking towards the Heavens. I only ask the question!—l am, etc., WALTER J. NEWTON.
