SUNNYSIDE MENTAL HOSPITAL.

A fire gutted the, centre portion of one wing of the women's ward at the Sunnyside Mental Hospital to-day. All the patients were got out. The. fireproof walls cutting off the block from the rest of the building proved the • salvation of the female side of the hospital. The Matron •and' her staff of female attendants, directly it was seen that there was any real danger, marshalled their 200 or 300 patients out into the big airing yard.
