STEAMER STRIKES ROCK.

NO LIST OF THE DROWNED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.; (Received 9.35 a.m.) Brisbane, March 27. The French steamer St. Paul, 1633 tons, hound from Noumea to Brisbane,

struck a rock at the entrance to the Brisbane river and sunk. Eleven of those on board were saved.

It is unknown how many were drowned. The owners are the Oceanic Navigation Company.
