MARCONI TRANSACTIONS.

EVIDENCE AT THE INQUIRY.

[Bt Electric Telege aph—Co pyrtq ht] {United Press 'Association.] \ (Received 8.45 a.m.) Lodon, March 26.

Lord Murray gave evidence that he had commenced to make good the amount the Liberal Party lost by his trusteeship. He had repaid the loss on Marconis, and would probably take several years to repay tbe other £38,000, but the Liberal Party would get it. He could not defend his attitude in connection with Fenner, but did not proceed against him in the hope of ultimately getting some money back.

(Received 10.25 a.m.) London, March 26

His accusers have withdrawn the allegation that Lord Murray used his influence as Chief Whip to get the Marconi contract settled without discussion in the House of Commons.
