TE ROTI ROUTE CHOSEN.
MANAIA'S BRANCH LINE.
(By Telegraph—Special to ‘ Post ”) Wellington, March 25.
The Government, has decided upon what, is known as the Te Eoti route. This is midway between the reserve and the Commission routes. There will be a branch line to Manaia, which will be made as soon as 1 10 line reaches Kapuni. ~ The first, sod will be turned at Opunake, although a commencement will be made about Te Roti . Mr Wilkinson, member for the tlis . trict, has cordially invited members of the Ministry to Opuuake to turn the first sod. f The date will be arranged on Mr Massey’s return from the South nex Mrsfik* . ■! The Chief Engineer estimates 1 will take about two months to complete the plans, when the work will bo out in hand. _ P It is the intention of the Govei - ment to push on the completion of the line, ’
