THE AMATEUR STATUS.

The Tasmanian Rowing Association has asked the New South Wales Association to support the application of the New Zealand oarsmen to be allowed in the Tasmanian crew at the forthcoming championships in Victoria. It is understood that the executive replied to the effect that each competitor must sign the necessary declaration set out by the inter-State Conference, as it revives , the question, are New Zealand oarsmen amateurs according to the New South Wales definition? ■ 1
TENNIS.
The following will represent Stratford in the match against Eltham on the local, green to-morrow Men: Anderson, Cameron, Crawshaw, Wilson, Fussell, Thompson, P. Wright, Dr. Paget. Ladies:, Miss Fussell, Mrs . Robinson,-,Miss Mackay, Mrs Paget, Mrs Budge, Miss O’Brien. Any of the above' unable to play are requested to notify the secretary.
