The Government Meteorologist (Ret D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for, south-east-erly strong winds prevailing, with an easterly tendency. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Much rain is to he expected. Barometer unsteady.
