FIRE.

[PER PUKBB APBOOI.ATTON ,1 Wellington, March 20. About' two o'clock this morning a six-roomed house, in Mortimer Terrace, occupied by J. Globe,- commercial traveller, was found to be on fire. Mrs Globe and her child escaped with difficulty. The flames spread to an adjoining house occupied by Mrs Liai-det. Both houses were totally destroyed. There was no insurance on Mrs Liardet's furniture. The owner of both houses is Mr Cooper, Pahiatua. The insurances are not available. • .
