THE PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE. The monthly meeting of the Tara-j naki Executive N.Z. farmers' Union was held at Hawera on Thursday. Present— Messrs 11. Dunn (in the chair),' A. E. Washer, E. Marfell, J. Swiudleh'urct, H. H. Buxton, J. Thomson, J. j Davidson and 3. S. Barrow. Apologies, for absence were received and leave granted to Messrs A. Hunter, R. Lam hie, J). J. Willis and G. Capper. ORGANISATION. i In reply to the Executive's circular j letter asking the .opinion of branches' on organisation, the Hawera branch wrote stating that it was not in fav-. our of a provincial organiser, as the work could' be more efficiently done by members themselves.—The Auroa branch wrote., stating that it would support the. suggestion of the Executive to appoint an organiser. |

AGRICULTURE COLLEGIATE SCHOOL.

In reply to the Executive's resolution urging tie Government to um'ke statutory provision for the establishment of a junior agricultural collegiate, school at Hawera, the. Prime Minister wrote stating that the matter would receive consideration. DOMINION LEVY. The Dominion Executive, wrote stating that the Dominion levy for 1014-15 had been fixed at 3s per member. . '■".•":', TRANSFER. _ \ 4 On the motion of Mr Dunn, seconded by Mr Washer, it was resolved to ask branches to see that members leaving one district for another apply for a transfer of membership to the branch in the district where they were to settle. / PERSONAL. As this was the first meeting Mr Marfell had attended since his return from England, members extended to him a hearty welcome and expressed pleasure at seeing him amongst them igain. Mr Marfell returned thanks for the welcome.
