There is no clue to the bomb outrage. An explosive expert declares that the sender had a knowledge of chemistry, as the bomb exploded by chemical action. WHY DENMAN RESIGNED. Mr Finlayson, a Labor member in the House of Representatives, speaking at Ballarat, declared that one of the reasons of Lord Denman’s resignation was his refusal to be coerced by Mr Cook in regard to a double dissolution.
ARRESTED FOR MURDER.
Perth, March 19
David Norman has be6n arrested on a charge of murdering James Murtha at Wangan Hills. Deceased and his wife kept a boarding house, and Norman was employed by her. On Monday night Norman and Murtha quarrelled, and the .latter was fatally shot.
