A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

I The Stratford A. and P. Association's annual Gymkhana is set down for Easter Monday, 13th April, on the Association's beautiful grounds at Stratford. This function is vapidly growing in favor with the public, and already entries are coming in. Held as it' is, at Easter time, when there are no other counter attractions, the Gymkhana offers to the sport-lov-ing public, a. pleasant holiday. The programme this' year has been revised somewhat, a few more novelties have been introduced, and events that were thought "slow" last year have boon cut out. The latest novelty is a J)og Trial, and the Association is offering a solid silver cup for competition amongst dog-owners. Dogs will be present from all parts of the North Island, and tho public can be assured of witnessing some wonderful proofs of the Collies' sagacity. The trotting events are retained on the programme, and indications point to record fields facing the starter in both events. Buck-jumping, sheaf-tossing, Victoria Cross race, Motor-car events, j and hunters' and leaping competitions help to make an attractive and interesting day's fun. Special trains and excursion fares have been arranged. All information can be obtained from the secretary, Mr W. li. Fenroii.
