Mr Harcourt (Colonial Secretary), in reply to Mr Barron, M.P., said he had'carefully considered the proposed gftide 'demonstrations, and would give short lectures at the Imperial Institute, showing th<\ prodticts, openings, and advantages of colonial life. He did not feel justified in sanctioning the expenditure of the Institute's funds which" were limited.
