Sir C. Kinloch-Cooke (Unionist ! member for Devonport) asked Sir Ed- ! ward Grey to consult Mr Harcourt I (Colonial Secretary) with a view to ap- | proaching the Commonwealth regarding the hitter's desire to take the j Xew Hebrides. Sir Edward Grey said there was no question of acquisition. If it arose, i tlie Government would act after consultation with the Commonwealth, with whom it was in close touch.
