A young woman named Alice Mabel Rankin, formerly a barmaid, - walked into Hogan’s tailoring establishment in King Street, and fired four shots at an employee, Gilbert Irving, two striking him. His condition is serious. She then bred two shots into her own breast. She will probably recover. The affair is the outcome of jealousy, arising out of Irving’s recent marriage.
