COMBINING TO PARALYSE TRADE

The Daily Express states that the Miners’ Federation ar.d Railwaymen’s Union telephone workers, with a total membership of 380,000, are on the eve of combining with the object of paralysing trade whenever the most in significant sectional dispute occurs, fiarly trouble is anticipated. THE BUILDING TRADE. (Received 9.10 a.m.) The executives of twenty trades affiliated to the London building industries federation have decided to withdraw all those employed by the Master Builders’ Association, even if not required to sign the 20s penalty SYDNEY BAKERS’ DEMANDS. Sydney, March 9. The Bakers’ Union has notified the employers that their new log contains a demand for day baking, and unless it is conceded by the thirtieth of the month work will cease.
