Wellington, March 9. The High Commissioner’s market report, dated London, March 7th, V states inter alia :
Butter.—The market is quiet with small business doing. Danish is in fair demand a + 124 sto 1265. The New Zealand market is slow with prices easier at 114 s to 120 s. The Australian market is steady but quiet at 110 sto 114 s. The Argentine market is steady but quiet at 110 s to 113 s. Siberian is in good demand, new season’s make fetching 110 s to 112 s. Cheese.—The market is quiet with prices slightly weaker for New Zealand. Buyers are cautious on account of large shipments arriving. Prices are nominal for Canadian. \ There is little doing in white at 69s to 70s, colored 70s to 725. New Zealand white: The market is slow at 63s to ,645, colored (fair demand) 65s Od to 66s 6d. Australian white 62s to 635, colored 63s to 645. It is estimated that the Canadian cheese stocks at London, Liverpool and Bristol on March 2nd were 96,000 boxes, against 157,000 at this time last year. New Zealand and Australian stock at London and Bristol were 35,700 crates, against 26,800 at the same time last year. \ . The wool market is strong in tone Owing to the business done.
