The death of Col. Pilkington, excommandant of Western Australia, is announced by cablegram from Sydney.
The death of Mr David Anderson, late general manager ol the Orient Company in Australia, has occurred in London, says a Sydney cablegram.
Dr. Frank Norman Hitchcock, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., who has accepted the appointment of medical officer to the Whangamomona Medical Association, has high credentials, and has practised in Ireland in addition to holding offices in St. Thomas s Hospital and the Royal Ear hospital. He is 30 years of age, married, with a child ol three years of age. The appointment, which was made through the High Commissioner’s Office, is for two years at -a salary of £4OO per annum, and the right of charging fees to patients not belonging to the association. A London correspondent states 'that l)i. Hitchcock will leave by the first available boat.
