Capetown, March 5. The Lahorites vainly endeavored to. secure deletion of the word “undesirable” from the short title of the Bill, intending that it classed the deportads as criminals.

After a five hours’ debate, Mr Cress' well’s motion to delete Poutsma’s mum and substitute Botha’s was negatived by 64 votes to 143.

THE BILL THOUGH THE COMMIT TEE STAGES.

Capetown, March 5. The Indemnity Bill passed through lommi.ttee and the House adjourned.
