Dannevirke, March 5. The sum of £14,532 'was put through the tote, making £29,595 for the meeting, an increase of £7957 on the sum registered last year. F. Meagher, rider of Stockade in the Second Hack Hurdles, was fined £5 for misconduct at the post. An enquiry into Berry’s riding of Orleans in the Mangatera Hack Welter resulted in a severe caution, the stewards being not altogether satisfied with his riding.
