[Pxb Press AfißooiASiON.l Auckland, March 1. A young man named Leslie Mills was admitted to the hospital on Saturday suffering from serious injuries caused by a gunshot. Mills was found in a shed bleeding profusely. Mills is a ship's steward, 18' year sof age. Dunedin, March 1. Mrs Doocey, a resident of St. Kilda, fell in Princess Street yesterday, as the result of a collision with a drunken man, and struck her head on the pavement. She appeared to be none the worse for the mishap," and went shopping, but an hour later she complained of pains in her head, and was taken to the hospital, where paralysis set in, the woman dying at nine o'clock. Dunedin, March 1. Ellen Mary Ross, five years of age, was drowned at Puketeraki yesterday. Her parents reside in the Dominion. Wanganui, March 1. J. Conquest, the rider of Tiresome in the Wanganui Stakes yesterday, and E. Murtagh, the rider of Merrie Lad, were more badly hurt than was at first supposed. At two o'clock this afternoon they had picked up slightly, and are now semi-conscious. Invercargill, March 1. A woman named Adamson, residing at Clifton, died suddenly yesterday.
