In the Assembly, Mr Evantual alleged an alliance existed between the Government and the liquor interests. A member of flu Ministry, in reply, read an alleged original Iqtter from Evantual to the Hotelkeepers’ Association offering for ten thousand dollars to become special advocate of the liquor interests in the House.
