CIBRALTAR BATTLE SQUAPRON. [By Electric Telegraph—OopyrigetJ Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables. (Received 8 a.m.) London, February 2G. Replying to questions concerning the strength of the Gibraltar battle squadron, Mr Churchill admitted that two of the expected battleships were not being built, nevertheless, the Admiralty was developing a definite fleet organisation and was fully keeping pace with other Powers. GUNS ON MERCHANTMEN. (Received x 8 a.m.) London, February 26. Mr Churchill announced in the House of Commons that twelve White Star steamers had been provided with guns at the Company's expense, and that the Admiralty had been saved the cost.
