COMPLAINTS BY ARBITRATIOMISTS. DEPUTATION TO HARBOR BOARD. [Per Pbkss Association.] Wellington; February 125 A deputation from the executive of the Arbitration Union of wharf laborers waited on the Harbor Board and protested that the Arbitration men who joined the union during the strike had not received the treatment they should have in accordance with the resolution passed by ib* Board. The deputation quoted figures showing that many ex-strikers -were ■earning £3 to £4 per week while the Arbitration ists could not get £i : per week. ■ Captain- Munroe, chief wharfinger, 'informed the Board that he had* endeavored to carry out the Board's resolution, and had dealt with the cases ,of frictions as soon as he heard of them.' The Chairman pointed out that the Board were employing more • men, but it was taking longer to do the work than before the strike. After a long discussion, the Board decided that the secretary be authorised to furnish the Union Executive with copies of . the payEheets signed by him as the executive officer I of the Board.
