FIRE BRIGADE FETE.
THE PROGRAMME. After much hard work in committee, operations by the Man with the Magic rhumb, "visions" and other important operations, the committee in charge of the Fire Brigade Fete to be held oh 'March 12th is at last aOIe to place ; something concrete before the public, in the shape of tho programme ol events, which will be found on page S of this issue; and a rough glance at the programme shows that the person not pleased therewith will indeed be hard to please. There are races of every imaginable description and some of a highly novel type, the mere enumeration of which would occupy much space: It suffices to say that the only class of people not catered for in the programme are the residents of Kopuatama, and the committee, no doubt, wisely presume that these people will be the only ones who will not be present.
