AUSTRALIAN RACING. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright') (United Press association.! Sydney, February 21. At the Warwick Farm races, the Jumpers’ Flat race resulted: Rajah 1, Grafeil 2, Floating 3. Ten starters. Won by one, and a-half lengths, three lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 46iscc. Melbourne, February 21. The Alma Stakes resulted; llaheen 1, Licoups 2, Van Biene 3. Fourteen starters. An exciting finish. Won by a head, with one and a-half lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 15.1 sec. Futurity Stakes; Brattle 1, Cider 2, Rathlea and Royal Laddie (dead heat) 3. Fourteen starters, including Broadsword. Taking charge as soon as the field got fairly going,Brattle was never headed, and won by a neck, after a splendid finish, the dead-heaters being one and a-quartor lengths behind Cider. Time, Imin 28sec. Hawsburu Handicap.—Gold Brew 1, Averse 2, Owenee 3. Twenty-one starters. Won by half a length, with threequarters of a length between second land third. Time, Imin l-l^sec. | WANGANUI TRAINING NOTES. Wanganui, February 22. The weather was fine, on Saturday morning, and the track was in capital order; but the majority of the horses wore restricted to light work. The Cup candidate, Sir Solo, was the ; first to strip, and ho was sent once round at a strong gallop, finishing up his task pleasingly. Gipsy Belle finished a long way ahead of Memphis over a fast half-mile, the (Flying representative moving along attractively. The best gallop of the morning was that put up by,Stepney, accompanied by Pavlova. Stepney got a flying start from the four-furlong post, and together the pair hung, Stepney drawing away from his stable mate and finishing half-a-length, in front. The time for the journey was 49sec. Aruake went twice round at a sound place, as did also Square Deal, Vania, and Brunswick. Allegation, Tiresome, Aratiatia, Histoirette, His Eminence, Rnffy, Los Angelos, Canute, Sweet Vane, Emperador, Bandiera and others were treated to light work, 4 NAPIER CUP. February 23. The New Zealand bred horse Protection won the Warwick Farm Flying Handicap. DUNEDIN J.C. MEETING. Dunedin, February 21. The Dunedin J.C. meeting was concluded to-day in glorious weather. There was a large attendance, and the racing was good. The totalisator inwore £26,020, as against £23,196 on the corresponding day of last year, making a total for the meeting of £67,102, as ooffipared with £54,319 last autumn meeting.
