Electric Telegraph—Copyright j ’ [United Press association.] (Received 11.55 a.m.) Loudon, February 12. • The Chronicle’s Washington correspondent states that President M ilson first demurred at meeting Sir Lionel Carden as not being accredited to Washington, but subsequently he decided that Anglo-American friendship was more important than red tape ; also that it was the best means of disposing of the newspapers’ wild charges against Sir Lionel.
