A CHURCH MATTER. [Per Press Association.] Auckland, February 13. -The Congregational Union had a lengthy discussion on a proposal to appoint a permanent secretary in connection with the Forward Movement, leaving for its object to raise £IO,OOO to build new churches. The proposal to appoint a permanent secretary was defeated.
