Mr A. H. Holmes, Clerk of tlie Magistrate’s Court at Wellington for years, who has been promoted to the position of Registrar of the Supreme Court at Christchurch, was to-day farewelled by the Wellington Bar and presented with a purse of sovereigns. Mr C. P. Skerrctt, K.C., made the presentation and spoke in high terms ol Mr Holmes’ ability.—P.A.
