POSITION IN AUSTRALIA. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, February 12. Mr Cook, Prime Minister, speaking at a Liberal banquet at Cowra, said be had no hesitation in saying that drastic reform was needed both in the Comoranweaith and in the State. In the present condition of parties, ft was hopeless to expect to put improved machinery on the Statute Book ; yet nothing was more important to the democracy of Australia.
