FIRES.
PATEA MEAT WORKS BURNED. [Per Press Association-. 1 Hawera, February 10. The main portion of the Patea Went Freezing Company's Works at Patea were destroyed by tire at midnight last night. Three hundred eareases of sheep and thirty of cattle were hurned. The insurances amount to £2500 on the building, £2500 on the plant, and £IOOO on the stock.
