Miss Marie Lloyd, the actress, annoyed at the publication in the Tancouver "World newspaper of an article asserting the American immigration authorities had refused to allow her to enter the United States after the close of her Canadian tour (also criti-

cising her performance.) called at the newspaper office and attacked ex-man-ager Taylor and the manager of the paper, who took the, responsibility for the publication of the article. The police were called in, and Miss Lloyd was forcibly ejected. A huge crowd gathered outside the office. PERFORMANCES SUPPRESSED. (Received 8.25 a.m.) Vancouver, February 8. The Mayor suppressed Miss Marie Lloyd's final performances in the interests of public decency. He claims that she vilified him publicly at each appearance. Miss Lloyd left to continue her American tour, stating that she had been disgracefully treated on British soil. Her husband, the jockey Dillon, had been refused admission to the United States.
