SHACKLETONS ARRANGEMENTS [By Electric Telegraph —Coptrightl [United Press Association.] London. February 6. Sir E. Shaekleton has decided to purchase the recently-built Norwegian icevessel Polaris, to he converted to use oil fuel and renamed the Endurance,. and employed under Davis's command in the Weddoll Sea. The Aurora will probably be selected for the Ross Sea side, failing her, Peary's Roosevelt is under offer. The Endurance will he manned by Navy men, the Ross Sea ship by merchant service men. with Captain Ordelees, of the Royal Marines, at the head. Deal, motor school expert and alpinist, has joined the expedition, and several of Scott's and Mawson's men have appiled. Two of the latter have been selected for the scientific staff.
