TARANAKI SHOW.

The Metropolitan Society of this district is holding its 39th Annual Show and 2nd Autumn Show on February 25th and 26th. Until last" year this Society like the majority of other Societies in New Plymouth, held its'Annual-Show in-the spring each year, but as it was always unfortunate with the weather it was decided to change to the autumn. have been introduced this year including a harnessing and unharnessing competition for, ladies, jj "competition, and a gift calf competition. The latter competition seems to meet with general favor as numerous Gentries have already been,receiv*ed,‘ and a- number of others promised. The schedule Kas been arranged with great care by those who Jiave had the experience of years, so that the wants of one and ajl are provided for.
