FIRE BRIGADES.

ELTH A iM-STRATFORD SHIELD. On Thursday afternoon three competitions were held at Eltham to decide the locale of the challenge shield annually competed for by the Eltham and Stratford Fire Brigades. Stratford (Lieut. Wilson and Fireman Drake) won the two-men dry coupling, their time being 35sec, including a penalty of lscc. Eltham’s time was 37sec, including a penalty of lscc.

Eltham won the five men carry gear in 35 2-osec, Stratford being blown out. The Stratford team being Lieut. Wilson. Firemen Sullivan, Milner, Evans and Drake. Stratford won the three men carry gear (wet), their team being Limit. Wilson, Firemen Sullivan and Milner. Their time was 27 2-s.sec and Eltham’s 28 2-ssec.
