GENERAL HAMILTON'S VISIT.
o A BIG PROGRAMME OF WORK.

General Hamilton, Inspector-Gen-eral of Overseas Forces of the Empire, will arrive at the Bluff on Monday, April 27. The following itinerary has been arranged for him during the month he will spend on inspection duty in New Zealand :—On April 27 he inspects the Southland Cadets at Invercargill at 10.30 a.m., and leaves for Dunedin in the afternoon. On April 28 he inspects the Coast Defence Artillery at Dunedin, South Otago and Central Otago Cedets at Dunedin, and leaves for Sutton. On April 29 he inspects a division of the Otago troops in camp at Sutton, and returns to Dunedin. On April 30 he leaves Dunedin by the first express, and inspects the North .Otago Cadets at Oamaru and South Canterbury Cadets at Timaru, and proceeds to Chrlstchurch. On May 1 he inspects the Canterbury troops at Mount Torlesse. On May 2 he inspects the Lyttelton Coast Defence, Christchurch, North Canterbury, and Westland Cadets. On May -1 he inspects Nelson and Marlborough troops in camp at Nelson, Nelson and Westport Cadets. On May 5 he inspects the Wellington .troops in camp at Takapau. On May 6 the field operations by Wellington district troops at Takapau. On May 7 he arrives at Cambridge, and inspects the troops in camp. On May 8, field operations by Auckland troops at Hautapu, Waikato and Hauraki Cadets. In the afternoon of May 9 he inspects the Auckland Coast Defence, Auckland and North Auckland Cadets. On May 11 he proceeds to Rotorua. On May 12 he inspects the Bay of Plenty Cadets at Rotorua, and proceeds by motor to Taupo and Hastings. On May 16 he inspects the Hawke's Bay Cadets; May .18, inspects Manawatu Cadets at Palmerstpn ; May 19, inspects Cadets at Wanganui; May 20, inspects : Taranaki Cadets at New Plymouth; May 21, proceeds tp Wellington; May 22, inspects Wellington Coast Defence; May 23, inspects Wellington j Cadets; May 25, inspects Wairarapa i Cadets at Masterton; May 28, in- j spects Marlborough Cadets at Pic- : ton.
