WHANG A. v. KOHURATAHT
A oup match between teams from Whangamomona. and Koliuratahi was played recently, and resulted in an unexpected win for Koliuratahi by 49 runs. Great interest was taken in the match. T. Rabone was very successful with the ball, seeming four wickets in three overs, while the same player topped the score for Koliuratahi with 22. For Whanga., McMeekan was top scorer in the first innings with 29. and Syincs in the second innings with 13. McMeekanh; wicket keeping was excellent, there being only 23 byes in boon innings, which was in marked contrast to the one innings of Whangamomona where 22 byes were recorded.
STRATFORD v. WHANGAMOMONA
On Sunday a team from Stratford will play Whangamomona, which will he represented by the following:'— .McMeekan, A. Klee, M, Priest, G. Symes, G. Court, C. Little, J. Tnglis. J. Peterson, W. Nelson. P. Kellar, and H. Woodrow.
A match was played at the High School Ground, New Plymouth, yesterday, between Mr Newton King’s Stratford and New Plymouth branches. The match was won by the Stratford branch on the first innings, by 100 runs to 69 runs. Stratford also completed a second innings, scoring 103. New Plymouth entertained the Stratford team to lunch at the Imperial Hotel.

The Hawke Cup match Wanganui v. South Taranaki, uas o n a,i m I day in sultry weather. The wicket rolled out well. Wanganui won by 108 runs, and thus retains the cup. Wanganui in the first innings made 203, and in the second innings 1.76. South Taranaki in the first innings made 130.

Teams of ladies representing Stratford and New Plymouth met at New Plymouth yesterday. The home team scored 84 points to 49 in the doubles and 168 to 79 in the singles, winning in the aggregate by 252 points to 128.
