At the inquest on the boy Starchfield, John White, a commercial traveller, gave evidence that be saw Starch field and a boy on Canidentown station about two o’clock on January the Bth. Starchfiekl dramatically exclaimed: “It’s a damned he.” The Coroner, summing up, said there was no evidence that the father killed his son. The jury returned a verdict of wilful murder against the father.
