LAWN TENNIS.
STRATFORD v. NEW PLYMOUTH
Eight ladies and ten men from the Stratford Tennis Club met a New Plymouth team at New Plymouth yesterday and suffered defeat, the home team winning 27 sets and 278 games to Stratford’s five sets and 184 games. It was found impossible to finish the mixed doubles, owing to the lateness of the hour. The visitors were hospitably entertained.
