KILLED FROM A MONOPLANE.

[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! [United Press Association.] London, January 27. A monoplane fell on Salisbury Plain. Gipps, the pilot, was killed. HAWKER IN MELBOURNE. (Received 10.35 a.m.) Melbourne, January 28. Hawker flew over the city in a Sopwith biplane. He reached an altitude of 5000 ft, and attained a speed of 90 miles an hour.
