ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

A CARRIER KILLED. [Per Press Association.] Hawera, January 24. Albert Merchall, carrier, was accidentally killed this morning. He was driving down a hill close to Hawera, and in endeavoring to pass some milk waggons the cart struck a couple of boulders and overturned. Merchall was pinned underneath, and sustained a fracture of the collarhone and had six ribs broken. He was breathing when a doctor arrived, hut died a few minutes alter. Deceased was single, and is believed to have no relatives in the Dominion.
