Owing to Lord Strathcuna’s desire to be buried at Highgate with his wife, the family declined the Covernmont’s and the Dean’s offer of interment in Westminster Abbey. A memorial service will be field in the Abbey on Monday. ROYAL SYMPATHY. London, January 22. The King and Queen, the Queen Mother Alexandra, and other Royalties have condoled with Lord Strathcona’s daughter. The newspapers. suggest that Lord Strathcona should he buried at St. Paul’s Cathedral. HSS PROBABLE SUCCESSOR. Ottawa. January >22. A rumor states that Mr Rohcvt Rogers is likely toisucceod the late Lord Strathcona as High Commissioner in London.
