AFTER THE STRIKE.
THE UNEMPLOYED DIFFICULTY. [Pee Press Association.] Auckland, January 21. Despite the exceptionally law amount of work on the water front, upwards oF 200 men are unable to find employment this morning. Only a few picked men belonging to t.. 0 old union have been admitted to membership. In addition to the surplus labour, in the new union there artbet ween four and five hundred belonging to the old waterside union finding great difficulty in obtaining employment. THE M-IRIMAR TROUBLE. Wellington, January 21.
In connection with the strike of the men unloading the Harflete at Miramar, the strikers' places were filled this morning, and work is going on satisfactorily. It is anticipated that the balance of the cargo will bo landed to-day, and that the ship will leave for .Newcastle either to-night or to-morrow.
