OPAWA'S AMATEUR STOKERS

The Daily Mail states that the Opawa's amateur stokers and trimmers worked excellently and maintained a fraction of a knot below normal speed. There was no shirking; though they suffered severely from heat in the tropics.
THE SYDNEY WHARFIES.
(Received 9.5 a.m.) Sydney, January 22
The wharfies have resumed under the old conditions, pending the forthcoming conference. WALLAROO STRIKE ENDED. Adelaide, January 22. The Wallaroo strike has ended. The men resume conditional to the conference to be held on Tuesday.
