The watersiders’ difference with tho owners over the new log book took tangible form when the Maheno arrived. Pending the settlement of overtime rates the men left the wharves at five o’clock. The mails and luggage were unloaded with a minimum staff of clerks and watchmen.
The watersiders decided .to approach the shipowners with, the object of securing another conference. There are prospects of an amicable settlement.
