Franklin Matthews, lecturing at Columbia University School on journalism, described Captain Soctt as the foremost reporter of modern times. Ho was horn and died a reporter, although the Scott world did not realise it. Lady Scott lias placed her husband’s original journals of the expedition in the British Museum.
