Air B. D. Lewers returned last night from a short visit to Auckland.
Air E. G, Allsworth- well-known in this district, and who has lately been residing at Ohakune, has returned to New Plymouth.
Air Afelville, director of Smith’s Bank, is appearing in the divorce court, naming End Fitzwilliam as corespondent, states a Times—Sydney Sun cable. The ‘‘Daily Province,” of Vancouver, British Columbia, in its issue of December 10th, publishes the following :—On Monday afternoon, December S, at the residence of the bride’s father, 2104 Twenty-sixth avenue east. West Collingwood, Mr George Heighway, of Dunedin, New Zealand, and Alice AI. AlcTntosh, eldest daughter of Air Robert E. Mclntosh, recently of Peterhead, Scotland, wore married by the Rev. J. K. Eiisworth. Ah’ss Edith AlcTntosh. sister of the bride, and Air Robert A. Gummor, of Auckland, New Zealand, assisted the contracting parties. Among the guests present were Air uid Airs R. AI. Stephen, Air and Mrs A. J. Stephen, Mr Geo. Stephen, the Misses Morrison, Lyons and Goudie, Alessrs J. Phillips, A. S. Bailey, G. C. L. Anyon and F. Thompson. Air and Airs Heighway, after a brief honeymoon in Seattle, will take up • bcir residence in Nanaimo.” Air Heighway was for 4 years in Air Newton King’s Stratford office, and has many Jriends nere who will be interested in his doings.
