In the North Island the sectional system was in operation, and he was o. opinion that, with some little amendment, it conld be made as near perfect as possible. The President of the Association (Mr Marlow) concurred in Professor Walker's ,sugg,\stion as to the mass -meeting, and stated that the Dominion executive would he ready to listen to improvements to its system, or to consider any new method that could be proved superior to its own and the executive would make arrangements for holding the mass meeting as suggested by Professor Walker. The meeting was duly held and a sub-committee was appointed to go through these laws for the purpose of altering their arrangement vvheroever necessary, 'and making them quite clear. It was also decided that the Scott testing machine he recognised as the official test by the association, to come into effect as from June 1. Each of the four centres is to be supplied with a machine.! It was further rseolved that at all future tournaments, held under the jurisdiction of the association, players taking part must wear white pants and the colors of their club.
